An Exercise in Social Transparency.
In our landscape architecture studies, we learned to sketch exactly what we saw—no filters, no fluff. Artifact 03 applies that same clinical honesty to the human experience.
Featuring our custom, hand-drawn typography, this beanie is for those who are often told they look "mad," "bored," or "blank," when really, they’re just existing. It’s an "ugly sketch" of a social phenomenon.
It’s humorous, it’s relatable, and most importantly, it’s a human-led design. No algorithms were consulted in the making of this face.
The Process: Hand-lettered ink on paper, converted to high-fidelity embroidery.
The Human Element: Intentionally uneven lines to mirror the "After School" desk-scribble aesthetic.
Vibe: Utilitarian, neurodivergent-friendly, and dryly hilarious.
